一 + 量 (+ Noun) + 也 / 都 + 不 / 没 + Verb / 一点儿也不 + Adj
For total negation ("not a single", "not at all"), put 一 + measure word (+ noun) before the verb, then 也 or 都 and the negative.
我一次也没去过 = I've never been there, not once. 他一句话都没说 = he didn't say a single word.
With an adjective: 一点儿也不 + adj = not at all: 一点儿也不累 (not tired at all). Reminder: 一 becomes yí before a 4th tone (一次 yí cì) and yì before others (一点儿 yìdiǎnr).
Examples
那个地方我一次也没去过。
Nàge dìfang wǒ yí cì yě méi qùguo.I've never been there, not even once.
爬了一天山，我一点儿也不累。
Pále yì tiān shān, wǒ yìdiǎnr yě bú lèi.I hiked all day and I'm not tired at all.
他一句话都没说就走了。
Tā yí jù huà dōu méi shuō jiù zǒu le.He left without saying a word.
那天我一分钱也没花。
Nà tiān wǒ yì fēn qián yě méi huā.I didn't spend a penny that day.
Common mistakes
✗ 我没去过一次 → ✓ 我一次也没去过 (amount before the verb).
✗ 一点儿不累 (without 也) → ✓ 一点儿也不累.
